Contact Ock Health

This is a surveillance technique used to detect early damage to hearing from exposure to noise at work.

It may also highlight changes in hearing due to other causes but it is not, in itself, a diagnostic technique. Therefore it is recommended that this test be repeated annually. This will allow any changes in results to be identified.

Ock Health offers this hearing test programme on a yearly basis to help employers meet their obligations under Regulation 5 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999), and the Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005).

By offering hearing tests to your employees you would ensure that the overall costs to the company are kept to a minimum.

Ock Health offers this service on-site so that your company continues to work smoothly. Hearing tests offered in hospitals are more difficult to arrange and the cost of the service, together with the cost of lost work time, would be considerably greater.

  • All that is required is a quiet room with a desk or table and a power outlet.
  • Completion of Health Assess ent Questionnaire by employee
  • Discussion of the results will be included, together with advice as required.
  • The company and the employee will be sent a written report containing the results, advice / concerns, possible Health and Safety intervention and recommendation for referral to a specialist physician if necessary. The employee’s rights to medical confidentiality will be respected.
